Ashley has been working with SITS since 2011 and progressed to a SITS support role in 2012 before beginning development work a few years later.

In this time he has had extensive experience of analysing and resolving problems, leading a team of staff, designing and implementing technical solutions as well as looking for ways to provide continuous improvements.

Recent Project Completed:

I recently completed a project that provided a client’s Moodle team with e:Vision functionality to manage the Academic Model data that goes into Moodle. It allowed for a level of abstraction to reflect their Moodle course setup requirements which included requirements such as combining Postgraduate programmes by subject rather than degree outcome, ensuring joint honours students were enrolled on the single honours versions and also provided them with the ability to define bespoke courses using criteria such as course, level of study, location of study and much more.

This meant that the Moodle team now had complete control over how the course structure was set up in Moodle rather than having this hardcoded into the feed, which also meant the setup was more transparent and flexible.
