Julian has over 20 years’ experience working in Higher Education financial and student systems, including implementing SITS, Banner Student, Axiom Reporting, Oracle Financials, as well as extensive experience implementing interfaces between financial systems. He has also delivered expert consultancy services to over a dozen Universities across UK and Europe using these systems.

Julian began his HE career at the University of Greenwich, with ten years expertise learned from implementing and managing Banner Student, AR and Finance. He then spent over 12 years at University College London implementing and managing all the financial aspects of SITS, including the Fees, Fund and SAM modules. Alongside this, he was the Finance lead on the UCL re-implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite including a complete re-design of the chart of accounts. Until January 2018, Julian was the chair of the SAM user group and a previous member of the Tribal Executive.

Julian is now working as an expert Axiom consultant providing a full reporting, forecasting and planning solution for Higher Education. Axiom is used by 30 Universities including UCL, Yale and Stanford. Axiom offers full integration with the University’s core student and finance systems, to provide a consolidated reporting and planning facility. Reporting and Forecasting can be delivered via a web portal, including dashboards, and/or via Excel.
